The survey also found that about 24% of Americans would jump into a swimming pool within an hour of having diarrhea, the survey showed.

Quite a thorough survey.

Might be a good time to remind folks that your eyes get red not from the Chlorine, but from the "output" of the chlorine reacting with biologics in the pool.

IE the chlorine reacts with sweat, piss, etc and creates a new chemical compound and when that gets in your eye it makes it red.

I don't take a shower before going in the pool. I shower after. I'll rinse at the beach, but I didn't think it made sense to get clean to get dirty.

Public pools are disgusting. I won't even stick my toe in one.

Idk. College was different.. if you didn’t go to the pool to slang poon something is wrong with you.

I’m 31 and haven’t been in a public pool in 10 years... don’t plan to.

People are fricking inconsiderate and gross.

There’s so much water and chlorine there I highly doubt this matters. Germaphobes might go oh gross but the dilution is so immense with a pool and the fact that it’s chlorinated too that it’s nothing to worry about.

Nothing on sex in the pool. Weird.

Funny thing is that my earliest memory as a child is of me sitting in a 3tiered kiddie pool at an amusement park. I start pissing, and thinking about it going down to the other tiers below. Ha.

What a bunch of snowflakes in this thread. Some of my best times growing up were at the neighborhood pool and water park. Same guys saying they won’t go in public pools or water parks talk about how the younger generation is soft.

When I finish cutting grass I go grab a beer and bail off into my pool. I hope that isn't wrong.

I watched a group of women drinking at a pool bar in Mexico for 3 hours. No pics, they were fat Alabama gals from a Carnival cruise ship. Not one of them exited the pool the entire time and they were hammering the drinks. I’m pretty sure that pool was mostly piss by the end of the day.

About every 2 hours I pretend to head for the restroom while I'm getting another drink, just for your peace of mind

it's the decent thing to do

Define "public" pool

Like actually public/city?

Or like including nice hotels and country clubs and the like?
