Had to put my wife's dog down last week

Cavalier Spaniel that was 10 years old with congestive heart failure.
Now the wife wants a poodle mix. She-poo or cava-poo. Anyone knows of any breeders in La or MS that don't want $1400 for a mutt?

Don't get these. Never had any experience but had golden retrievers all my life, my mom wanted to try something different so she looked at golden doodles. I asked my vet friends about them and they all told me poodles are great, Golden's are great, but mix them and they become a dumb worthless dog. Sure enough that's what my parents dog is: a big, clumsy, worthless dog.
Sweet as can be and they vary in size I know, but this stupid thing is 75-80 lbs or more and thinks it's 25 lbs and just plows over kids and everyone.

my roomates gf has a golden doodle and Ive only had good experiences with it. Hes very well trained and just a cool arse dog
