Had my first attack by a mask wearer. Was I wrong?

I have a medical condition that precludes me from wearing a mask. I avoid going out in public pretty much all the time. My wife handles the shopping etc but yesterday we both needed to go out. We ran by Target and entering the store they asked me to put a mask on. I showed them my inhaler and they waved me on through. On one aisle a lady yelled "PUT YOUR MASK ON" and I showed her my inhaler. She said "I don't care about your inhaler or your medical condition because I have asthma too. She kept saying "YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT OTHERS" and I admitted that I don't know her and don't care about her. She kept yelling until I finally told her to suck my nuts. The wife was upset at the lady and then at me for telling her to suck my nuts

Did she have an inhaler too? And I have a 13 year old with asthma but they don't care at her school. She has to wear it.

You could have used your inhaler and had a coughing fit.

Lately I've just started completely ignoring people in public. Just keep walking. It's awkward at first but it solves all these problems.

Sure you do

You probably also require a dog on airplanes

That’s your fault for shopping at target. They let dudes visit the girls’ bathroom just because they feel feminine that day.

She was fat, wasn't she?

Here's the thing, in a state with an obesity rate near 40% I have a tough time giving a frick about the health of the a-hole in front of me at a gas station buying cigarettes and a honey bun. If most of these assholes don't care about their own health, why the hell should I?

I agree with your response and the general concept of most masks not being effective, but, your reason for not wearing one makes you seem like a puss.

I've had a few encounters as well over not having a mask on my 2 year old despite CDC saying 2 and younger shouldn't wear them. Never told somebody to suck my nuts though

I'm all for shaming mask Karens, but this didn't happen.

I don't have a service dog or emotional support dog. I own a regular dog who does regular dog stuff.

I assure you with 10000% confidence that it happened. I was there and my wife was there. And a very mean tiny black older woman was there.

Whether this really happened, or happened as portrayed, may or may not have occurred. But it's certainly plausible and fits the "karen" M.O.

Here's one from Hobby Lobby in AZ recently:
