Offshoot of subject, wolfhound what do u think about going back to pinks and greens?
Personally, I love it. I hate the current ASU. We took a decent dress uniform and turned it into a Christmas tree. It is embarrassing. The Pinks and Greens are a classic look from a time we can be truly proud of. I think the SMA has the right read on this.

I agree I like them

The asu's don't resemble the civil war era Union uniforms all that well in my opinion

Thank you for your service Butch.
When my Dad passed away, we did a military funeral for him at his request. When the flag was presented, I accepted it and whispered in the young Marine's ear "Semper Fi, Once a Marine, always a Marine even in eternal rest". I saw a tear well up in his eye and I knew that day was as special to him as it was to our family.

And class b looks like a mall cop!!!!

I curse Schoonever for being lazy....the Marines have over a dozen combinations of class a and dress blue....

The new class b will be presentable as well...I hope they find a way to keep the slides on shirt epaulettes

I remember when the Navy (Zumwalt?) thought it was a good idea to ditch the cracker jacks for navy blue coats and ties. None of us could figure out how to stuff all that clothing in a seabag and put it in a footlocker under your rack. Most of us just stayed with the cracker jacks because they could be folded into a small square and if didn't know how to sew buttons, we did after the first few months!

Who makes these decisions??

I just wish they would pick a uniform and stick with it. I'm tired of always spending my uniform allowance on stuff like.....uniforms

Truth....

I do hope that whatever is adopted is good quality and not that cheap arse polyester

I have a beautiful set of greens that I picked up unworn at ft Gillem for a dollar!!!!! Pure wool...was promoted twice in them ... then the army in its infinite wisdom changes the shade of green....
