asking for a friend...
Very wet area and looks like the recent 36 hours of straight rain and wind brought it down and it was a very big tree.
My friend has state farm.
What kind of shite show is he looking at with State Farm?????

He’s gonna make an insurance claim on a fence?
Posted on 1/28/18 at 12:36 pm to maxxrajun70
Deductible alone makes it not worth a claim.

No shite show at all. Chop it up yourself, repair your own fence. Free firewood and no insurance hassle.

The policy owes a reasonable amount to remove the tree from the covered property. So it owes to remove the tree from the fence only. It owes to repair the fence and up to $500 for tree debris removal

How much is your deductible? Is it your fence? They may pay up to 600 for removal if it fell on a covered structure.

State Farm paid $2000 to cut an oak tree off a fence at a rental property I own. The tree was cut up to the property line and neighbor had to deal with the rest of it. It also totaled the neighbors house.

State Farm are next level assholes.
I could write a litany about their transgressions that personally affected me.
But ain't nobody got time for that.
Good luck to him claiming the tree on his homeowners policy.
State Farm will make him pay his deductible then conjure up every reason on earth not to pay another cent past said deductible.

Was this guy in the tree? There may be a pot of gold under that uprooted tree.

Stae Farm paid for my fence and tree removal, on my property only. I paid for the rest out of my pocket.
