Trust me when I say that the longer we live, the more people we will see die. Until we realize that we are all here to help those who will be here after we are gone to live a better, more prosperous life than we lived. We must help make the generation after us to lead an easier life and they must do the same for the generation after them. I thank God every day for the people who came before us who discovered things like Air conditioning, antibiotics etc.... We are truly living in a wonderful time in history and we should all help our fellow man in time of need. No religion is needed to do this. Be a good person and leave this earth better than it was when you got here and die peacefully knowing just that.

I had a similar experience a few years ago with four deaths. Had two die of heart attacks, one die of cancer and another from a suspicious gun accident all between November and January. All from my senior class in high school. One heart attack victim died on my birthday.
