I would argue misspelling words would be acceptable for people from raceland.

well, considering the self-proclaimed Mathews alum is the one that misspelled their own town, your argument is arse-backwards, as the person from Raceland spelled it correctly...
just take the L, my guy.... you look like a fool right now

Apparently this happened a street over from me and I didnt hear/see anything.
This what the SO put out about an hour ago to the media:
On October 1, 2026 at approximately 1818 hours, Sergeant Brandon Smith. Deputy Angel
Tyler, and Lieutenant Aaron Montez with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a welfare concern in reference to Kenan Urker, DOB 10/01/1992 not answering his phone or the door to his residence at 107 Double H Dr Lot 4, Raceland. The complainant, Anita Blanchard stated that they were attempting to gain access of the residence.
Dylan Blanchard was able to gain access to Mr. Urker's bedroom window, due to it being
unlocked and was able to see Mr. Urker lying on his bed unconscious. Once they realized Mr. Urker was not answering, Mr. Blanchard and Justin Daigle moved the blinds and made entry through the window and located Mr. Urker in his bed, cold to the touch. Mr. Daigle advised that he did touch Mr. Urker and learned that he was cold and not breathing.
Upon Deputy’s arrival, Deputies located Mr. and Mrs. Blanchard and Mr. Daigle near the front door. They advised that Mr. Urker was deceased and they had left out of the residence without touching Mr. Urker or any property inside of the residence. Deputies entered the residence through the front door and was able to see Mr. Urker from the living room area lying on his back in the bed. Deputies walked in the direction of the room and located paraphernalia (syringes and spoon) in the bathroom next to a brown powdery substance. Deputies located a syringe and a handgun on the nightstand next to the bed. Mr. Urker was found lying on the bed on his back, cold to the touch, and appeared to have been there for an extended period of time. His face and his arms were blue. He had a paper towel placed on his left arm with what appeared to be blotches of blood on the paper towel.
The handgun on the night stand was holstered laying next to two shot glasses and a syringe.
Nothing else inside of the bedroom appeared to be disturbed or moved. Deputies took digital
photos of the scene and obtained digital recorded statements from Mr. and Mrs. Blanchard and Mr. Daigle. All photos and statements were uploaded to the case. Deputies learned from Mr. and Mrs Blanchard that Mr. Urker was at church with them on 09/30/2026 at approximately 2045 hours. They stated Mr. Urker made comments of being depressed and upset. They advised he made a TikTok live video at approximately 2300 hours. They advised that he just had the video going while he was driving without him saying anything. Due to his behavior from 09/30/2026 and his boss, Mr. Daigle advising that he did not show up for work, they decided to check on him at the time of them contacting LPSO.
Lieutenant Detective Ray Traigle with the Detective Division was notified and CID were able to respond to the scene to take over the investigation. Deputies Wendy Plaisance and Leah Rodrigue with the LPSO COPE division arrived on scene at 1857 hours to assist, due to the incident being drug related.
They also put out a Command log of the incident, but I can’t copy and paste it into text so here are the screen caps.

I've shared this story before but in the early 2000s I won some Hornets courtside seats and for whatever reason I couldn't go to the game.
There was a Ronald McDonald House on Canal St. in Mid City right down the road from my office.
I just walked over on my lunch break and donated them.
A week or so later, I got a letter in the mail with a thank you letter and a photo of an awkward looking little girl and her mom posed with Hugo Hornet.
The girl was Gypsy Rose...I still have it somewhere in my closet I think.
