Wrong. They have your money

The autopsy may have a big surprise.
So he set up a GFM for bail? What a twist that would be!

It’s basically become a battle over control of the GFM account. Which begs the question, who originally set it up?
There are actually 2 that are set up. Both claiming to be organized by the same person, one has zero dollars. The other has over $20,000
But David has no bank account and Sonya is willing to give her bank account number to have the funds go there? GFM requires a bank account to setup a fund, right?

I’m confused. Is the sister-in-law’s name Sonya or Cathy? Or are there two? This is a complete cluster.

Or, did we invest $22,000 in a great story?
And someone wanted to contact ESPN to highlight this story of a rival school’s website helping out the other because of the power of sports. Now this feature is probably headed to HBO

Sonya (posting under Commander Data’s account) is the sister in law. Cathy (KentuckyGirl) is the aunt and level headed one

I’ve been following this. Everything may all be true, but god damn some of this shite doesn’t make sense.

Sister in law is Sonya. The aunt, who appears stable but isn’t closely involved, is Cathy.

Sonya is the SIL that was posting on CD's TD acct last night.
Kentucky girl is the deceased's aunt by marriage and lives out of state so she doesn't know a whole lot more than we do.

Sonya is Commander Data’s SIL, but she’s allegedly been posting from his account. Cathy ( Kentucky Girl) is the deceased wife’s aunt (by marriage).

It just hits different in the SEC.

Got it, thanks. I don’t know if they would do it, but if a local lawyer or bank would act as a pro-bono trustee, that would be the best thing for all involved.

This thread and As The Plains Burn will definitely be in a 30 for 30 about TD someday.

Trying to read this whole thread, afraid it’s going to get whacked before I get to the end.

I don’t blame you. It doesn’t appear you are in a position to influence them enough and I certainly wouldn’t want to be in the position of trying to answer for their behavior here. I would still appreciate occasional updates from you as I can’t make much of what CD or Sonya posts.
Thank you. I know the need, it is large. But I can't control it. It just hurts my heart to see how this has turned out. However, the generosity and support warms my heart at the same time. I'll let everyone know when I know. Thanks again.

For anyone who may have missed it, this is one reason you should ask for your money back.
Sonya had the audacity to post this:

I am Carri Massey Sister and I am here I joined to tell all of you that he did make the account and this is totally upsetting knowing the grief we are going thru and y’all wanna throw doubt and take back money that y’all have gave for my Sister Funeral .I want you all to know that now we have to wait longer to bury my sister maybe a week that is just so wrong and you all owe him an apology

Seems involved enough to make a td account and smooth everything over.

How did everyone miss this...
Weeks?
I thought this just happened a few days ago?
I thought the autopsy wasn’t done yet and y’all needed money for the autopsy?
What the hell is going on?

They are grieving, they truly are struggling financially. When my sister died,I was in a fog for weeks. It took a week for the state to do the autopsy. The funeral home cannot move forward until they get the body back from the state of Alabama.

Is it really out of line? Poor people don't bury their dead? I don't know if this is a scam, but someone wanting to bury their wife as per her wishes isn't something I'm going to criticize.
Yeah, I’m not going start talking shite on here. A man lost his wife, he’s struggling emotionally with the sudden passing and there’s a family that lacks the means for a proper funeral.
I understand where posters are coming from though with the “sister” coming on and scolding the board, and there being suspicious behavior from the OP, but I think most of the original facts still remain the same. To me it just feels like the board has learned more about this persons life, and are having regrets. I don’t know, maybe that’s fair since it’s their donation. I just think the initial instinct to help out is the correct one, and hope the generosity is used as intended.
