It’s still a rap sheet. I feel for the guy, but this moment is why choices matter

His wife had at least one arrest as well.

Might have just been a DUI for all I know, it was just overnight.

I get it. I really do. In cases like this, though, I'll reserve my judgment for another day.

If there's some scam going on, then the Good Lord knows where are hearts were. Better to give as a fool than to withhold as a miser.

This is not judgment. This is discernment.

One of his was for domestic violence, but you never know the circumstances. You can yell at your wife these days in an argument and get arrested. They always side with the woman at first, but seems like he’s had some demons

That's fair. I would rather err on the side of naivete than cynicism, especially when it's only a few bucks out of my pocket.

Really wish Chicken would delete the last couple pages of this thread. We've seen 12 hours of compassion and humanity, and 30 minutes of dickheads.

Agreed. Idc if he had a rap sheet, I donated and I’m fine with it. Now I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t getting sketched out by this and OP not showing back up.

I hope to god he is alive, but at the same time if I got scammed I’m gonna be pissed.

If he’s an addict running a scam, $20k will kill him with an overdose or some fentanyl laced heroin. However, if he is a dude that has made bad choices in the past, is in a tough spot financially and his wife just died unexpectedly leaving him a single father of 3 girls with no money to even bury his wife, then hopefully the OT has played a part in preserving his dignity and keeping him from relapsing to more destructive behavior.

Looks like the sister took down her GFM for the autopsy.

I was thinking the same thing looking at his weight differences when clicking on each mugshot

Sad if true but I am always skeptical of GFM stories. I have donated to several posted here but they were easily confirmed true. This one raised $20K with nothing but the OPs word it seems.
