They actually played a mind trick on him. Kind of underhanded, really.

I noticed that too. I don’t know if things have changed since I was younger, but the “D” answer to the first question was always the joke answer to prompt a chuckle from the audience.

I would have gotten this wrong as well. They sell meatballs in IKEA?

I guessed it right. It made sense. IKEA is a furniture store, which accounts for the kitchens. Meatballs because they are a Swedish company.

Never been to an ikea but I connected the dots.

Such a random question that doesn’t really equate to intelligence at all. I don’t think I’d have gotten it right either.

Maybe a dumb question, but why anyone would just associate expensive kitchens with Rome is weird. It just takes a bit of common sense to know that IKEA is the only plausible answer even if you've never been. Also "a meatball break" in quotes should have been a bit of a flag.

Italy is only one of the premier culinary hotspots of the world.

And meatballs...spaghetti and meatballs. Guessing Rome wasn't exactly going out on a limb.

A couple of weeks ago a chick was on Mental Samurai (the Rob Lowe gameshow on Tuesday nights) and bragging that she had a 152 IQ, missed one of the first questions.

IQ 152 Lisa misses simple question

Usually the first 3-4 questions are easy lob questions.

If that's what counts as an easy question, then I wouldn't stand a chance either. Wtf is a meatball break and why is that a thing at a furniture stores.
