It’s actually turned into a pretty huge event over the years.
Obviously it’s hip hop so not necessary the OT’s thing but it’s a quality event. But they’ve sold out the Mississippi Colliseum consecutively and have been well received.
Typically it aligns with Black Beach weekend which I’m assuming it does again this year, which is essentially black spring break.

It’s safe. It’s an arena show. There’s a lot of measures that are required by the venue to ensure patron safety. I put on concerts and book artists, I know a lot these guys. Sure, anything can happen on any given day. Does a hip hop show by nature of the genre illicit a different patron than a gospel revival arena show? Yes. I don’t think anyone would dispute that. But these venue’s aren’t jeopardizing their sustained livelihood for one show.
