There’s a growing fascination among young people to just sit and watch other people play video games. That, I don’t understand.

I mean this is a forum based on grown people sitting around watching young adults play a children's game.

So a lot of the forum is talking about sitting around and watching someone else play a game...

you’re not a grown man, son.

Grown men have responsibilities. You barely have pubes.

Video games, TV shows and social media are not real life. Too many people associate those activities with real life and therefore can’t function properly in real life.

If you can take care of your responsibilities, take care of your family, succeed at work; thats what makes you a grown man. If you can do that and also have time to game, I got no problem with you.

Obviously it’s way more common for adults to play video games than it used to be.

Probably because Millennials are all adults now and we have been playing video games since we were kids. I confess I don't play games nearly as much as I did 8-10 years ago but I still indulge every now and then.

Be a man and play golf or go to the camp to avoid your family like the rest of us.

Everyone needs an outlet. Some people hunt, fish, golf. I recently started playing pc games after 25 years. I’m 53 nearly empty nester and have been playing fallout 4 and rdr2 it’s freaking awesome what they’ve done in 25 years.

Cool. I don't have time to play video games, because I'm a man. I'm 40.

The worst part is this poor bass turd actually thinks he sounds masculine by saying this. His mother doesn’t let him play anymore in her basement.

Growing up with them definitely makes a difference. I'm sure pre-video game era kids grew up and still did some of the things they enjoyed in childhood. Very possible they did less of those things when they were older.

Work, family, and self-care definitely play into how much time there is to play when you're older. I don't get to do it near as much.

And the haters can hate. Law abiding, productive citizens who take care of their business and stay out of yours can do what they want with their free time.

I played some video games the other day. My kid was getting a little too big for his britches so I had to whoop his arse in Mario Kart.

Only video game I’ve played in 20 years has been Mario kart.

My nephew had it for whatever the latest Nintendo system is and insisted we play.

Pissed him off when his dad and I realized they really haven’t changed game play since the N64 and he couldn’t beat us.

Same age, and I play a few hours a week. And RDR2 is amazing.
