Houston Business Journal allows people to pay to be on their list, I wouldn’t be surprised in Baton Rouge is the similar.
Places pay to be the "Best Places to Work at" so it makes sense you'd pay to be on this.

I didn't know being a race-baiting pig and professional shite stirrer is something worth celebrating by the Baton Rouge Business Report. Shame on Rolfe McCollister for giving this racist a-hole the time of day.
Like ALL print media, the BR Business Report is becoming more and more irrelevant by the day. Thus, they are having to do anything and everything necessary to get clicks/subscriptions. Creating controversy is one way to do it (see this thread).
While it may produce short terms "gains", it will eventually end the circulation because no reputable business will want to be associated to what will become essentially a tabloid

as OP, again pleading, someone post the pic from the BRBR, I don't know how....its worth it

Whoever is the editor at this magazine…I have a dozen neighbors on MY block who deserve mention than that lying, race-baiting biscuit! What a disservice to your own magazine!

BR Libs are all the same. Gravy with this; HH with her thin red line project; Kibbles and her “need” for LITERALLY an office space!

Why does a grown man who won’t even look for reasonable employment dissatisfied with a community that he doesn’t live in?
Sheesh. Unreal that someone thought he was a good example of independent success.

So he means to destroy SBR until it’s as shitty and crime ridden as north Baton Rouge?
It's the mindset that says "if I can't have something, no one else can have it either".

I see they failed to mention extortion in his accomplishments

This should surprise no one. He’s figured a way to make a living with no qualifications other than his skin color. He’s constantly in the news. He’s figured out how to play the local media. Why would it surprise anyone that this happened?

Rolfe was Woke before the term existed. A BR limousine liberal, if you can imagine such a thing.

This is correct. It's because anybody who has any hope to make something of their life flees Louisiana at the first opportunity.

Good question. A few friends have been on there, and they didn't pay, but that doesn't mean it necessarily can't happen. Generally someone else has to nominate you, and being that BR isn't all that big/competitive, it isn't too hard to be accepted in.

GREAT POINT
any way to find out who nominated him?

So a 40 year old man that doesn’t have a job and lives with his mom and stepdad is being honored for being a success?
Posted on 11/8/21 at 2:13 pm to secfballfan
It was probably one of his own family members doing it right in front of him, TBH. If I recall, when I nominated someone, they did ask for my name/contact info but all they did was email me when the person was accepted. So it wouldn't be hard to nominate yourself and then act surprised later
