The more often you cut it the less wear and tear you put on the lawn mower in tall grass

Are you my brother? Seriously, this is true, especially in the Spring when the trash grass is growing, but you mow even in the winter?

Accountant was my guess.

Nah.
He lives on Rainey Street in Arlen, TX.
We just need to figure out if he is Hank, Dale, Bill, or Boomhauer.

With the crazy drought I don’t think I have cut more than 3 times since the 4th of July.

I will upvote this although I don’t really care, personally. It’s still interesting.

Umm... you keep an actual log of your lawn mowing hours?

Dang it, no. Once a year I do the maintenance on the mower and I write the number of hours on the machine.

I am not a nerd! Though I am a maintenence fanatic.

Own it.

Don’t let these miscreants shame you from your lawn maintenance nerdom - embrace it.
Then, destroy them

This year’s drought really cut down on hours spent cutting.

We will spend more time this Fall/Winter using the mower getting rid of leaves than we did cutting grass this year.

Retired from cutting grass in 2021 when I moved. I really thought I would miss being out there, working with my hands in the yard

I dont

If you do a full maintenance routine on your mower at the end of the year no matter how much you’ve used it, then why does it matter how many hours you’ve put on it?

You’re going to do the same shite regardless.

I raced bikes with guys like you. They tracked every single mile and other details of every training ride or race. Max Speed, distance, average speed, average cadence, heart rate, watts, calories burned, weather, you name it.

I didn’t track any of that and was usually faster than most of them.

Yet I’m fascinated by the nerd like dedication to detail. I kinda wish I was wired that way, but I’m not.

this is a glorious thread that celebrates old white men and their hobbies

Someone posted a video of a guy going through bad neighborhoods and this one was of Baton Rouge. When he was driving down a street only one guy had a decent house and yard and when he was filming that guy was out in his yard doing yard work. The rest of the houses and yards were run down.

So yeah, taking pride in your property must be white supremacy.
