The cops would've been labeled as unarmed/innocent person killers. Followed by a lib protest AKA riot. Then they would have had to face going to jail in order to appease the angry lib mob.

Because even when the perp is armed, a certain portion of our society doesn't care about that. Things are going to get much worse before they get better, if they even do get better.
This is a one sided argument. Those that support those that break the law, resist, etc. are not doing anything to fix the problem on that side.

Not really. Usually if a taser doesn’t work it’s because the nerves aren’t working. Same thing with pepper spray. All this non lethal stuff relies on inflicting pain on the suspect.

A dog or an old fashioned night stick arse whipping. In this particular case a dog would have made all the difference in the world. Trained dogs don't give a shite about themselves and can apply serious arse whipping without worrying about anything but whipping arse.
There is no right answer here other than for the jackass perp to not be a jackass. If he's not breaking the law nobody gets hurt. If he complies after breaking the law, nobody gets hurt. If he decides halfway through getting roughed up that it isn't worth it, nobody dies. Instead he has to take it all the way to the top and the fault lies solely with the bad guy.

The first comment I saw under the tweet. “Try talking to him like a human being”. The entire interaction was 17 minutes long. That means at least 13 minutes of talking before any violence happened.

I saw an article this morning that BLM was headed to Pennsylvania because that one dude got shot while charging at the cop trying to kill him with a knife. What kind of fricked up society do we have now where the knife guy is right and cop who got called to the residence because dude had a knife and was threatening people (his mother and sister IIRC) is in the wrong? It's fricking sickening.

Honest question, when would the officers have used deadly force on this guy? He presented as a threat to them so quickly that they didn’t even have a chance to draw.
I don’t think lethal force would have stopped anything in this instance. What I do think would have helped is if they weren’t trying to keep hands off him as much as possible. Y’all remember the video of the cop and the guy from the Lyft ride? Even he got crucified.
