It looks like they are burying cables out to the shed? That might be adding quite a bit.

That is not reasonable at all. We got ADT to put in a system on my mom's house, my brother's house and 3 sheds on our farm. We got cameras, motion sensor, and the whole 9 yards and I think the installation cost was ~$1500.

How much do you pay for monitoring ?

It's like buying a car. They can just push the numbers around.

The free installation comes with a 3 year contract at a price of $35 or more. I think the Vivant monthly fee is $50. Those also come with a limited number of sensors. I would say that, out of the $2,612, it's probably close to 50/50 between parts and labor.

I installed a Vista 20P in my house with mostly parts purchased on ebay or amazon.

Seems high as giraffe pussy, especially with the window and door contacts being wireless.

I'd imagine a good chunk of the labor is the burial of the cables to the shed but I still don't see $3K there.

Call Apex Alarms in Mandeville - ask for Jake 504-975-3842. They just did a 3 door system for me, using existing hard wired contacts already in place from a previous alarm for only $500. They had to run some wires for a new motion sensor and the inside and outside sirens.

We chose cellular monitoring because we don't have a land line and it can't be disabled by cutting power(battery backup) or telephone wires for $31/month.

That's a completely different system and IMO $500 is high for that unless it included the communicator. I bet he put a DSC in there.

Plus your monitoring is almost double

its pretty close..id imagine there wont be 2-400 diff in pricing.... keep in mind a lot of it is wireless which adds a good bit to tha cost from a parts standpoint

I thinks its between $200-$300 for the all of it. It is well worth it after having a truck stole out from under our carport and the amount of breakins that happened last winter. One of our neighbors had his entire shed cleaned out on Christmas eve. They stole everything that wasn't bolted down.
