My dad has a part pit, and would you imagine, he's never bit anyone. Zero chance we would let him run free though, especially near kids.

Calm your roll. You don’t worry me in the least bit.
I rescued my dogs from a shelter as puppies under the terrier name. Did a DNA test later and found out they were American Stafforshire.
And as far as compesnatating for anything, I don’t need to brother. I’m a firefighter with a degree. I volunteer as a mentor to young black children without fathers, and I work with the Odyssey house helping people with addictions.
If you have more to bring to the table other than trying to insult me because of your own insecurities, go for it.
In the meantime tell me why the Pitbull type is bad, or just go away.

Yes and pit bulls are responsible for the vast majority of dog related deaths and attacks. The statistics compared to other dogs arent even close.

All dogs bite, Pitbulls are much more intense when they attack and far more deadly.
I don't think they should be banned or anything but I do wish owners would realize the potential and keep them away from others. It seems owners are far more intent on defending and blind to realities.
I had a GSD, and wouldn't allow her around others unless they were family, and she knew them very well.

I never said they’re not aggressive. Probably the most aggressive dog.
But why aren’t the owners being held more accountable for those stats? Why must the whole type be eliminated.
It was just posted there were roughly 2.5 million that didn’t kill anyone last year.

American Staffordshire is the same as American Pitbull Terrier.

Because pit bulls make up only 5 percent of the dog population but account for over half of the dog bite related fatalities

Since you like statistics..
Less than .5% of pitbulls have attacked or killed. So statistically speaking, that is not even close enough to consider banning all pitbulls.

Because, in general, people aren’t responsible enough to own a dog that needs to be actively encouraged not to attack.
You sound like a good guy, but you have a blind spot because you’re emotionally invested.

Considering there are more pitbulls in the world than any other, that could be expected. If you get rid of all pitbulls, then some other dog will represent a low percent and lead with deaths.

Not close. They are the exact same. The very first amstaffs that were registered as such, was apbt from UKC that was of the Colby bloodline. All amstaffs were apbt from the beginning. They selected which ones to register as amstaffs, then bred those together. They didn’t register any other breed besides apbt to become amstaffs.

It’s not so much encouraged not to attack. It just needs proper training and affection.
Almost all breeds need proper training. Plenty breeds are responsible for deaths.
The Pitbull type is a very loyal, obedient, intelligent and loving dog.
When neglected and untrained by trash humans, the aggressiveness is more likely to be an issue.
And I agree. I’m invested. You couldn’t of said it better. I’m just an actual witness to the Pitbull being all the things I’ve mentioned. As well as being very loyal to young children in my neighbor and family.
It’s easy for people who only read about negative stories to assume they’re all bad. You’ll never hear how great they are without people like me. I’m proud of that.
