Governor being asked to decide if billboard is too lewd (pic of billboard)

SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - A petition on change.org aims to remove an advertisement from a billboard along Interstate 20 in Shreveport-Bossier City. The effort started by Stephanie Giddens targets an advertisement for Larry Flynt's Hustler's Club on Commerce Street in downtown Shreveport. Her petition argues that the billboard is lewd and suggestive. "The picture changes frequently and, depending on the girl being shown, so does the level of suggestiveness. Currently, there is a girl licking what I assume is cake from her finger in a very suggestive manner." It goes on to say that many children see the advertisement daily and should have a right to not be exposed to it. "I don't feel like I should have to see it, and I don't feel like my child should have to see it or any children," Giddens said. "I just feel like it's pushing the envelope. "And my main concern is that the billboard seems to have pushed the envelope just a little bit more every time.
I blame the baptists. 5700 people signed a petition to take the sign down....wow. I guess they are worried that little Jimmy will pop a boner on the way to church and get the minister/priest excited.
That titty bar sucks. The dancers don't take their tops off for lap dances. I had gone with a buddy after a breakup and he bought me a lap dance. I was so pissed after that I gave him his money back since he got ripped off.

The whole point of a free society was for people to exhibit some form of self regulation...manners and etiquette
I think he should be able to fly the freek flag, but he should find something more tasteful...
Idk what would be more tasteful for a city that patterns itself after Biff Tannen's Hill Valley, tho...
Merca jumped the shark

I get that. My biggest issue is that 5700 people want the government to step in and have a billboard that they find offensive taken down. They want the freaking government involved with a billboard.

I have no problem with it. Just some people and their ideas.

Dear lord a hustler club in downtown shreveport. A more wretched hive of scum and villainy I can scarcely imagine.

Leave religion out, it’s straight up trashy & good for those folks that are speaking up. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

Maybe they’re afraid little Jimmy will get Hepatitis from looking at it.

If religion wants to be left out, they shouldn’t involve themselves in government or public matters.
Funny, they claim to want religious freedom from government yet still want the tax breaks and to influence policy. That’s what we call a double standard or ‘hypocrisy’, which I believe is a sin.

they want the government to step in because they are offended. Nah, I'm not gonna leave religion out.

Yeah. That’s called hate speech. Clearly targeting a certain group.
