Shellfish, beer, hydrochlorothiazide and heredity are the leading causes of Gout.

Red meat is after those.

If it's just in your toes thank your lucky stars, it runs in my family and affects all of my joints. It's like having the bends in a single joint. My knee will swell up the size of a cantaloupe and there is no walking on it - full crutches to the doctor to get 2 shots in the arse.

Yeah because it couldn't be wine coolers and brussels sprouts right? I'd be good with that

Drinking water regularly helps flush the uric acid out of your system. This keeps it from crystalizing between your joints.

Absolutely accurate. It's not 100% but if you have gout problems drink a shite load of water every day.

Knocking back tons of beers watching college football is going to make it worse.

Fresh cherries help, too. I've never had it anywhere but in an ankle I broke playing high school baseball.

Indocen or indomethicin (spelling??) will knock it out. Take two, drink a gallon or so of water as that Rx will make you sick at your stomach but it damn sure knocks it out in a few hours.

My dad passed the gift to me. I’ve had it in my ankle 4 or five times and once in my big toe. Neither one of us are fat. Coworker gets it every now and then...not fat.

You have GOT to get your ph level below 6 for a few days for your body to handle the uric acid.

Get the Ph test strips.

4oz of water with 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder thoroughly mixed in.

3X a day for 3-5 days.

That will take care of it.

Manage it with fresh cherries or Black cherry supplements vitamins. ($12/mo. on Amazon)

Watch your beer consumption.

ETA: Stupid Earl Grey teas, green or black is my trigger.
