Been down since yesterday with it clear from Down detector site that Houston and much of Texas are down. Get home today, still put so I decide to call AT&T and get “Chris” clearly in India asking me to run troubleshooting I already did and telling me I talked to a guy and the outage was corrected this morning. Wastes 30 more minutes or my time to tell me that I need to schedule a technician to come in. Next available appointment in 2 days when I am at work.

Told her I don’t have time to take off work to wait for a tech to show up and if it doesn’t come back on it’s own, I’m just going to cancel cause it is unreliable. She panics and notes it. I refuse to schedule tech and so it ends.

Until......her supervisor calls me because she was concerned after our conversation because I didn’t schedule the tech.

Once upon a time I had at&t uverse scheduled.

As t approached game time for 2nd (round of 32) ncaa match with my alma mater and still no sign of uverse truck I called Comcast and said if my tv had ncaa on it by game time I was their customer. They came right over. Universe called later and said it was going to be at least one more day due to tech issues down the street. I bade them farewell.

I don't but they are really the only other option in many areas. We have 1 GB AT&T available in our neighborhood but I still have Cox internet.

after the flood i called uverse, said since i flooded and would be gone for months, i just wanted not to have access to the programming, just to keep the account open. that way when we got back, rather than go thru the signup process again, just call and say we are back, please re-instate

they said it would be $20 to keep it open and dormant like that.
and that was the last day i had u-verse

This is in Houston.

I’m just laughing because there was an at&t techinician fixing the box last night after the supposed outage and magically it is fixed but my box that worked before this massive outage no longer connects.

I have uverse in Metairie, and I haven't had any issues. They are way better than dealing with Cox, and at half the price.

UVerse is great. I cut the cord and went crawling back to it.

We were just the opposite. I haven't had cable/satellite TV in several years now and don't miss it at all.

I have unverse internet and cable. Never lost service and they are great for the price.

I will NEVER deal with a local cable company (Cox, time warner, etc). Too many bad experiences.
