Someone hasn't been to Abbeville in a very long time.

I’d prolly be driving down there, work 2-3 days, drive back. I’ll do this every couple of months

What are you doing that's in Abbeville?

There's an Arby's along the drive that you might want to sample.

Like has been said plenty. Shucks, Dupuy's, River Front are all top notch. Dupuy's doesn't get the recognition the other two gets, isn't as big, but is the best of the three. El Cominos has the best hamburger around, and it's cheaper than eating at McDonalds.

Stay on the outskirts of the city. Far east, or far west. If you get to an area that looks like it could be bad, it is bad. You'll be fine as long as you don't go look for trouble. It's not Nola, but for it's size, it's shitty. Just spend your time north of hwy 14 and west of state street/ east of 14/business 14. There is nothing for you in between, unless you need to buy weed.

Oh damn.

I remember getting crawfish etouffee or turtle sauce piquante with sides and big arse piece of fried catfish over the top. I think they alternated weeks on which of the two they did, but both were unreal. And they only sold plate lunches on Fridays from what I remember.

You are thinking of Les Bon Manger. They were selling plate lunches every day for quite a while. I know the owners sold. But I believe they are doing plate lunches where the old Mr Gattis was. I don't know if it's the old owners doing that, or the new owners. Also don't know if they are still operating by the library.

Under old management I know they had some awesome brisket plate lunches on Wednesdays.

Close to the greater Kaplan/Meaux/Gueydan Tri Cities area. There are numerous universities and think tanks in the area. Very LGBTQ+ friendly. Whole Foods offers free lesbian dance therapy at several locations in the area. Also , if you want to go on a road trip you can just head north until the road stops in the Duson area. Enjoy.

You are right. I should told him about the speed trap coming down through Maurice. That’s good info.

Introduce yourself as a community organizer from NYC there to protect the indigenous population from destructive farming practices and Big Oil. Make sure you wear a Che shirt.
