After being denied by many local pharmacies due to my age, I was able to talk one pharmacy into giving me a leftover shot that someone didn’t show up for. Snooze, you lose!

Of course I’m nervous to see what the future holds for me because after all, it’s a brand new vaccine, but I’m also thankful that I live in the best country in the world where I have access to this. So far so good other than a sore arm. I’ll say that the soreness is more pronounced than any flu shot I’ve had but other than that I feel fine. Anxious to see how I feel when I wake up in the morning. If I wake up

In Mississippi all you have to do is say you are a smoker if you are under the age requirements.

Big pharm must be doing a good job hiding the data on these vaccines because right now out like 12 million doses they only have about 46 bad reactions to it mainly people who already have allergic reactions to vaccines. 0 deaths? Data right now suggests it's actually safer than other vaccines. The technology has actually been around for decades which is one reason they picked it because they thought it would be safer for us and also they could quickly alter it when new variants show up. Either that or they doing one hell of a job toying with the data available to the public.

I know a lot who got it and the worst it did for anyone I know is sore arms and minor sickness for a day or 2. Soon as I'm eligible I'll be getting it. I see no data that suggests it's bad. Only issue is they have gaps in the data right now. Like they never tested it on pregnant women.

Reactions to vaccines happen all of the time. I used to get allergy shots once a week...and they always made me hang out for 30 mins after just in case I went into anaphylaxis. Got those shots for 10 years and nothing ever happened.

My only issue with it is the gaps in the data right now. Still questionable if it has any kind of longer term side effects. However, the data that is available said 0 people in the trials since last summer had any side effects. Either this is an amazing vaccine that our health workers put together or big pharm doing everything they can to hide negative data.

I'd be more worried about that if other countries were not using the same vaccine. They pretty much post similar results as the US so you'd have to have all the governments lying.

Yes, a company founded by German immigrants and a vaccine developed by a middle Eastern scientist. Thank Allah for diversity.

Well, the good news is, if you ever get lost, we can just scan you and bring you home.

Glad you were able to get it.

We need to do a better job at opening up a standby waitlist for anyone that will show up on short notice despite age requirements to prevent open vial shots from being wasted.

Yo, this. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a shot, or vaccine, of any kind, but I don’t remember my arm ever being as sore as it was after my moderna stick.

How old are you? If you’re under 65 and you’ve been trying to go to different pharmacies to get the vaccine, then this is weird. If you’re over 65, congrats?

I received the second dose on Monday. I only had minor arm soreness for about a day for the first. The second shot, I had slightly more arm soreness and I was a.little tired the next day. He only real side effect I see from it all is you won’t catch Covid!

I made hotel reservations for pring game the afternoon that I got the second vaccination! I am very relieved to be done with the Covid bullshite.

Life protip: The lower cutoff for obesity is 30 BMI. That's 203 lbs for someone 5-9. A lot of people will fall into that category who may not think they qualify.

Agreed...anyone who is remotely muscular is obese, by that definition.

I know that was a general tip but I had to laugh because at my ht/wt I would have to gain 46 pounds to be eligible that way. Though I am not concerned about how quick I can get the vax I would run out and get it if it was avoiding a dose being wasted.

I assume you're pretty tall. Either that or you need to eat a sammich.
