If you have the money to pull it off, you could Truman Show this situation into serious bank.

Does the father of the child have parents? She should certainly contact them. So she wants to give up a baby so it doesn't' stop her life? Nice.

One boy, one girl.
Honestly, i thought there were people on here struggling with infertility or adoption who could be possible candidates.
The waiting lists are long and there are may hoops to jump thru. I thought maybe someone here would be a good candidate for these babies. I can see i was likely wrong, sorry bout dat.
i will look into st elizabeths and see what they can do.

It is way better to adopt them out to people who want kids and can't have them than to just throw them out like trash. IMO
Eta: OP maybe post an email address. Not everyone would want their business on a public message board. You are correct that some people are interested in private adoption to avoid the hoops of an agency. Especially professionals who are a little older.

This may be a crazy idea, but have you reached out to any adoption agencies or perhaps someone that isn't a random poster on an anonymous message board?

Private adoption is how we adopted our son. As of 4 years ago In Louisiana, birth mom had to attend two counseling sessions to make sure she was sure about her choice and knew all of her options. If warranted per the social worker/psychologist, she may need more. Pretty much any family attorney can do the paperwork. Depending on the situation with the birth father, his rights can be terminated before the birth. That depends on his wishes and if he has been notified of the pregnancy and whether or not he has supported said pregnancy. The attorney can determine the best course of action. I can tell you two attorneys in BR NOT to use. We have an open adoption and we couldn’t be happier with our son’s mother and how everything has worked out for our family. Our attorney was horrible and I essentially had to babysit his office into submitting completed forms. He gave NO instructions regarding post-placement visits after he was placed. Private adoption paperwork can’t be completed until the babies are 5 days old (as of 4 years ago) as opposed to 3 days with an agency (in Louisiana). Unless it’s an intra-family adoption, the couple adopting these babies will need a home study. There may be some equivalent for intra-family as well, not sure. If your friend is due in a few months, anyone who doesn’t have a completed home study will need to start that ASAP. We looked into several agencies before adopting and the private adoption just worked a lot better for us. It’s also significantly cheaper than working with an agency for the couple raising the child (obviously not your friend’s issue, but with twins, it’s doubly worth mentioning). I’d be happy to try to answer any other questions.

suuuuuure.
twins is the most important detail. why would anyone want to separate twin babies? you'd absolutely would want to find parents who would take both.
eta: were hoping to find a suitor for the baby, and then be like... its actually 2 babies?

If you are interested in speaking with some one at St. Elizabeth Foundation I can point you in that direction. They are a Louisiana adoption agency that help place birth mothers with a family of their choice. Great group.

I'd have a heart to heart with this young lady. Keep your own baby and forget college. You'll get the ultimate education raising the kid and force the baby daddy to pay up until baby is 18. This is life. No easy escapes. TIME TO GROW UP.

You thought the forum where people post WYHI threads and "PIIHB" is considered an acceptable answer to any of life's problems would be a good place to find some potential parents?

Well you’ve DEFINITELY come to the right place.

If serious, post an email I can send info to. I know a couple going through the adoption process.
