Her name is Amali. It means hope in Swahili. We send $35 a month which gets us pictures/videos of her and pays for extra fruit for her to eat.

They are such emotionally intelligent animals. When we were last in South Africa we watched two elephants form a chain to pull out a third elephant that was stuck in a mud hole due to drought conditions.
