I know several that drive for a fairly small group of people. They have suburbans or Yukons and a small customer list and do mostly airport runs. Lots of well to do families with kids who like the idea of not dealing with Uber for car seats, etc. Cheaper than the real car services. Lots of older folks who don't want taxis or Ubers or dealing with an app.
He’s got a Suburban and a Continental.
He’s on-call for us 24/7 but he ain’t real keen on being transportation for nights out. He’s more of an airport guy. BTR/MSY/GPT/PIB/MOB/BFM/PNS
Really nice when you’re traveling for more than a week to cold weather spots or for business and you got a lot of luggage.
He’s got a cousin that works with him as Plan B, he charges a flat rate and tips are appreciated. And Cash ain’t just good Country music.

Hit up fleet management companies like Acertus.
They always need local and over the road drivers to deliver cars. Locations in all major cities.

I've read that painting mailboxes can be pretty lucrative. $100 a pop.

Volunteer! Museums are always looking for docents. Free training, plus you get to hang out with other active, civic-minded retirees.

I'm missing something here.
-Drive to one rental car location (or airport, whatever).
-Take the car in question over to a different branch.
to get back to your own car so you can go home you have to count on that second branch needing to also send a car back to the original branch, right?
I'd be willing to bet a major corp has that all figured out. Just maybe.

My mom landed a cool gig when she retired. Some dude with about 40 rent houses among other things hired her to do his book keeping 2-3 days a week, probably about 16 hrs average. She'll get caught up and take a week or 2 off. She don't need the money but it gives her something to do. Pays her cash under the table LOL

I own an Ace Handyman franchise and have several retired guys that work for me. They work the days they want and only do the jobs they enjoy. It’s worked out really well for me and them.
