Yeh it sucks. I got my full quills for $295 from Tecovas a few years ago
At this point I would and will just get Lucchese

but the same price now… Tecovas is $550 for their full quill. Same price as Lucchesse
The cheapest pair of lucchese ostrich full boots is $645. Full quill tecovas are $545. Tecovas is still quite a bit cheaper

I have 2 pair of Ariats that I’ve had for probably 15 years that have held up well. One has a rubber sole, but I consider them nicer than work boots, I’ve replaced the heel and the sole once or twice on each pair.
If you don’t want exotics (Gator, Ostrich, etc), a good pair of Lucchese Boots should last forever and can be found for $400. I’ve got a pair of Lucchese Caiman and a pair of Ostrich that still look new after 10 years and I don’t generally even shine/polish them.

So if you buy a different boot that’s on clearance you can get it for the same price?
Posted on 7/30/25 at 9:39 am to Mingo Was His NameO
I posted almost the exact same boot from lucchesse and Tecovas
Lucchesse full price is $699
Tecovas full price is $645
You don’t need to show your arse in every thread just to be a dick
Tecovas is no longer a bargain boot

I agree
But you using THE MOST EXPENSIVE boot tecovas sales and one of the least expensive Lucchese sales to try to make your factually incorrect point is about par for the course for you

When it comes to boots everyone has a different preference. I suggest going to Cavender's or another boot store and they will have literally hundreds of different boots you can try in that price range.
Eta: if you can wait until black Friday you can usually save 20% which is sigificant at this price point. That's when I got my last boots and I saved over $100

And do you agree with the picture posted of two almost identical boots with only being $50 difference?
Maybe just take a breath sometimes instead of coming on to be a fricking prick. All you have done in here is call someone fat with double chins and then incorrectly argue. You provided nothing for the op or anyone else

ETA: even weirder is getting boots inherited from someone else and then wearing it.

I have heard about Tecovas and they look and seem pretty nice, some of my friends have them. Do they hold up well if I was outside for extended amounts of time? I was concerned with durability if I were to go tailgating or something alone those lines as Tecova reviews online have them marketed more of a classy pair of boots compared to something rugged
I have one pair and the soles wore out extremely quickly for just walking around an office.
