Blacks, Mexicans, gays, and child rapists live there.

Well, I have a lot of black friends, a Hispanic last name, and a few gays in the extended family. Three out of four ain't bad, I guess. Thanks for your thoughtful input.

Well get ready because it's coming. It probably won't be accurate but what more do you want?

It's not as well known as the Natchez Trace and probably a lot shorter. But the latter is only a guess.

Where is it in Gonzo? I may know it, just not by name.

It's by Gonzales Middle School on Orice Roth Rd. & S.Darla. If it was me I wouldn't buy there.

I remember now where it is. But I don't really don't think I've been in the subdivision. Sorry.

I judge neighborhoods by the cars - not type but whether there are a lot of them around - driveway and esp street and, egads, yard.

Avoid if you have kids. East Ascension High School is getting rougher by the year. St Amant is best and Dutchtown is very good as well

Coonass- it isn't terrible, but the urbanization of Gonzales starts around there. You would be better served looking in a few more neighborhoods on the outskirts.

Check out Acadiana of Ascension and Babin Estates off of Babin Road. Close to I-10 and Airline Highway; not far from Gonzo.
They aren't lily white, which suits me fine; but everyone has a good job and its kept up nice. Strong homeower's association ($200/yr) enforces code. Prices in the $210-$240 range, with a few higher.

Thanks to all that responded. Gonzales Trace has a $300 a year HOA fee. I was kinda under the impression that a subdivision with houses starting at $185k would keep up property values. $220k for a house is a lot to me, but I realize in the overall scheme of things, it is probably not. I lived in Laplace for about 25 years and have seen subdivisions with much lower property values go downhill very quickly. Sincerely hoping to avoid that type of situation.
