I would suggest the wetlands.

I'd play wetlands over those other two.

Janky, what are some other courses near Lafayette that you enjoy. The only two I've played so far are Oakborne and the wetlands.

If we are talking public then wetlands followed by the farm. Since you have played the wetlands, I would suggest you play the Farm. It is a good layout, I am just not a big fan of the owner.

Oakbourne is my favorite by far but you can't exactly walk on.

Spanish Trail is a fun course and if you are not expecting perfect greens rolling 12 on the stimp you could enjoy it. I am actually a member out there, so I know it well.

What's the deal with La Triomph? Is it public? Any good? I just assumed it was expensive to play.

Le Triomphe is ok. They punched the greens about two weeks ago so they are not perfect. I am not sure if they are now letting the public play but it is around $100. Not hardly worth it in my opinion.

For those who aren't golf snobs this course is fun. It's clean, and challenging. I love this course. It's 10 minutes from my house.

What's the membership rates out there? I have thought about joining a few times, but decided against it.

Played The Farm on Thursday and The Wetlands yesterday. The Farm is in incredible shape right now. Some of The Wetlands greens are still recovering from a fungus they had in the spring.

Is Muni still open off of Moss St? All you need is a 5 iron, wedge and putter.

$85/month. You can get a beer and burger for around $8. If you are not expecting Oakbourne it really is a good club. The greens are typically in good shape but slow. The fairways are also in good shape most of the time. The membership is good and there is always a game to be had. I have thrown around the idea of leaving and going to Oakbournne, but I never pull the trigger.

Damn that's cheaper than bayou bend. But it sounds like the same type of club.

Very similar except there aren't as many dickhead members as Bayou Bend.

It sure is. They have been working to improve the place since the new super took over. It's right though. You will learn to hit a straight ball.
