off to Publix
I was in a Publix Saturday, I brought up a Chicken, Green Onion Smoked Sausage, Andouille and Tasso Gumbo, to Woodstock. Had to get a little rice and a couple side items.
I’m up in Chattanooga, Tn, heading back to Woodstock, Ga later today. I need a vacation.

Watchu up to with all that driving if not a vacation?
Publix is a pretty nice place to shop after years of being demoralized by walmart!
I'm not familiar with tasso gumbo- pretty tasty?

A small primate apparently. I tried logis before loris. Wasn’t even sure it was a word.

I did louis before loris- also tried it not knowing it was a word... that is one of the crappier words late, to be sure.
The animal is terribly cute though, I'll give them that.

Tasso is Pork chunks, heavily seasoned, then smoked. Just adds more smoked flavor to a Gumbo. I made a Andouille and Tasso Alfredo Pasta a few weeks back, folks kept asking for the recipe.
My family on my Dads side, had their own Cookbook. On my Moms side, my grandmother had a cookbook dedicated to her.

It’s the life I lead, one step ahead of the Law!
Live in Texas, family in South La, three sisters live in Woodstock, Ga. I might be in Orange Beach soon.

I envy you that... neither my husband's nor my family has any recipes to hand down- hell, I was so untaught by my family that I had to drain the first pot of rice I ever cooked as a new wife.
Your family is spread out! Any of ours worth visiting is within a few hours- something I'm truly thankful for!

I enjoy the travel. I’m the busiest retired guy you know. The list I’ve done is very extensive. I’ve worked with Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, BTR Food Bank. I’ve helped coordinate numerous golf tournaments, for Cystic Fibrosis, Folds of Honor, First Responder and KBG.
Speaking of family, we had a family reunion on my Dads side, a few weeks back, a little under 100 folks showed up. Not bad for a Saturday.

Reading all that wore my 42yr old self out!
Maybe when my husband retires we'll get busy with good living... feels like we're coasting these days. Middle age rut, I guess.
What a big family! Both of ours is pretty small and more like stray cats than not.
Hope you have happy travels and a beautiful and blessed week!

She was in canada before TN. She ate at Tim Hortons with her mother 2-3 times.
Tim Horton's falls under the same umbrella as Burger King and Popeyes. They are all owned by a Canadian company, which is owned by a bigger Canadian company. The bigger one has a big chunk owned by a Brazilian company. The Brazilian company has a big chunk of them owned by the Chinese.
