A mom visits her son for dinner who lives with a girl as a roommate.
During his meal, his mother couldn't help but notice how pretty his roommate was. She had long been suspicious of a relationship between the two and this had only made her more curious. Over the course of the evening while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there's more between him and his roommate.
Reading his mom's thought, his son volunteered, "I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, we are just roommates."
About a week later, his roommate came to him saying, "Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the silver plate. You don't suppose your mother took it, do you?"
He said, "Well I doubt it, but l'll email her just to be sure! He sat down and wrote, Dear mom, After your visit me, the silver plate has been missing. "I'm not saying that you did take the silver plate from my house, and I'm not saying that you don't take it, but the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you were here for dinner.
Love,
Your son."
Several days later, he received an email from his mother which read: "Dear Son, I'm not saying that you do sleep with your roommate, and I'm not saying that you don't sleep with her: but the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her OWN bed, she would have found the silver plate by now, under her pillow.
Love,
Mom"

This is how we keep the canadians up there.
The Convention of 1818 was a treaty between the United States and Britain that set the 49th parallel of latitude as the boundary between British North America and the US across the West. This remains the boundary today between the two nations.
Western Boundary
The Convention of 1818 was signed on 20 October 1818. It described the boundary between British North America and the US as a line from the farthest northwest point of Lake of the Woods (at what is now the provincial border between Ontario and Manitoba) "north or south, as the case may be" to the 49th parallel and then west along the parallel to the "Stony [Rocky] Mountains."
The area west of the Rocky Mountains was to be "free and open" to either Britain or the U.S. for the next 10 years. In 1827, this period was indefinitely extended, but it was ultimately terminated by the 1846 Oregon Treaty – which extended the 49th parallel boundary west to the Strait of Georgia on the Pacific coast.
Provisions
The Convention included six articles, which dealt with a variety of commercial issues and boundary matters, in addition the 49th parallel:
Article I secured fishing rights off the shores of Newfoundland and Labrador for the US.
Article II ceded to the US any portions of Rupert's Land and the Red River Colony south of the 49th parallel.
Article III established joint control of the Oregon Country for 10 years.
Article IV extended existing commercial regulations between the two nations for an additional 10 years.
Article V said that any differences over American territorial claims related to the Treaty of Ghent (which followed the War of 1812) would be referred to a friendly state mediator.
Article VI guaranteed the ratification of the Convention within six months of signing.

Those damned Canucks need to get that commie out of office. He is possibly just a touch left of Kamala. The Canadian dollar is weak. They are a country full of resources and should be wealthy.
My Candian has a chunk of money in Canadian funds up there. We are waiting to change them to American dollars when they get closer to par value. That last happened when the Kenyan was in office.
Maybe if we just made them the 51st state?

Cut off all of the social programs and the country would disintegrate. They have more people than the US does that rely on being spoon-fed by the gubmint.
