I was really burnt out bad on it before I left to do infection control. I do miss the interactions I had with my pediatric patients but I don’t miss being short staffed all the damn time and feeling stressed at work on a regular basis. And that was years before the pandemic. I see how much worse it is now with my friends still at the bedside.
I have a low stress job that I love that makes a difference/impact in a different way. And since I’m fully vested into our pension system I can easily ride out the rest of my career here and collect a really good pension when I’m done.

I can’t seem to sleep in lately. I get up at 3:30-4 every am and can sometimes fall back asleep until 5 or so. Gonna do a ride since I’m up so early

Turkey Trot Thursday
Time to go de-brine the Turkey, season the old girl up and start it slow cooking.
Hope y’all have the greatest of all time Thanksgivings.
Such a special day commemorating the rewards of free enterprise over the original communism of the Pilgrims that had nearly starved to death and wiped out the colony.
Yall make it a great day.

I’m taking my family out to eat for lunch this Thanksgiving. Then going to my former sister in law’s to spend time with them. I haven’t seen my niece and nephew in a while. So at least I’ll stay busy today. My first post breakup holiday.

She was a bit cold this morning. She only finally started wearing clothes this week and we’re so excited.
