I'll be on the water. A little breeze would be ok with me.

People have been inviting us for years. Every year we say no. Every year we say it is too hot. I still don't understand why people do this. I can drink at a bunch of air conditioned places. Why would I drink outside in the heat? If I wanted to do that I would go to the beach at least.

I agree 100%. It is a pub weekend, all weekend long.

It's better than when NOTHING was going on in August down there. Used to be the epitome of a doldrum.

Chorizo and potato breakfast burrito with mild salsa. Ima happy camper.

People underestimate how hot it is down there. It's going to be 100 degrees and feel like 120. Combine all the people, lines, sweat, smell, and no wind. I can't see this ending well. ZERO CHANCE OF RAIN

That's why the ppl with plants on their balconies should water liberally with a hose this weekend. For the greater good.

It's always been a goal of mine to be a crazy cat lady in the FQ hosing down tourists while watering my 2nd floor herb garden (for the cookin, not the smokin).

If only for a couple years.

Serious question - Anybody got a line on Bushmaster? Cuz if he's in Sturgis... I think we have something in common.

I've experienced the Las Vegas dry desert heat and have even played golf in it. It's ridiculous to even try and be outside for that. The heat & humidity in South Louisiana this summer, although different from desert heat has been just as unbearable.

I'm pretty sure he's knocking down a few Miller High Lifes at the moment while clearing some land on his North 40.

A friend of mine and her roommate were hanging out with the band Disturbed while working up in Sturgis for a few weeks... said they met a a guitar player that looked like Billy Zane with a beard. Sorry... but that's too much coincidence not to ask...

ETA:

Thing we'd have in common is some serious appreciation.
