It wasn't like he was some accountant who drives a Lumina to work.

quote:

Mark Reuss. He’s quite familiar with a racetrack, boasting driving certification on the North Course of the Nurburgring and FIA C and IMSA Road Racing licenses. He seemed like the perfect man for the job,...

He'd even paced it before:

quote:

I have driven this course many many, many times. I have paced this race in the wet, cold, hot, and calm. On Z06’s, Grand Sports, and other things.

Not sure if that makes it better or worse.

But he's in good company. Juan Pablo Montoya ran over a jet dryer once.

Was this dude one of the affirmative action types brought in after GM was turned over to ....how to put this....people who were neither stock holders nor competant?

Yeah, one thing GM (and this board) needs is more competant people... right, boss?

I’ve tried to start watching American open wheel racing again and I happened to be watching this disaster unfold. Seems like even with no Danicant and better looking cars, the IRL still can’t live down its amateur hour reputation.
