driving down the road and my phone not randomly disconnecting and reconnecting would be a good start

I think it’s a mistake.

That said, the new GM systems in their EV’s are damn slick. Like I don’t know if I would need Car Play personally with that system.

Another reason not to buy a GM vehicle.

What GM needs to eliminate is Mary Barra. Simply idiotic move. Like fix the V8s before you worry about CarPlay.

The L84 5.3L is a solid piece

Not a fan of the L83 5.3L and its lifter issues And the 6.2L is risky. Big recall on that one.

Either way they are all changing at the end of 2026 for the pickups, then in 2027 for the SUVs.

Cause republicans and democrats don't care.

These union clowns wearing street clothes attaching doors to $60,000 bare bones trucks and demanding $40/hour is what will kill American cars.

I fricking hate this subscription marketplace we currently live in. I hate it so much.

Thank the Germans for starting this crap.

And I think BMW charges a subscription fee for CarPlay in some models. And heated seats.

All of the car companies are taking current functions and moving them behind a pay wall.

Auto door locks. Nope. Now part of Vehicle Connect subscription.

At some point they will charge for every feature. Air conditioning will be a monthly subscription. Sounds like an exaggeration but it isn't.

frick all of them.

being made in America don't mean that much anymore like it used to. Look at the minimum wage employee for some big company in the US. Would you rather trust them over an minimum wage employee in an Asian country like China? I hate to say it, but give me the China worker over the typical minimum wage employee across America. Midnight basketball can only get you so far.

Between garbage transmissions, shitty engines, and this its seeming like GM wants to try to piss off as many customers as possible.

Maybe GM should try to fix their transmission issues before they start designing software

Any company that has fleet cars will have some serious expenses in addition to the cars themselves to consider.

A few years ago GM decided it was going 100% electric vehicles. That was quickly and quietly abandoned. I assume this will go over as good as that decision.

The global overlords started this subscription crap several years ago.
Subscription as a Service on everything thing is there goal.
Remember Klaus Schwab WEF Project 2030?
i.e. " You will own nothing and be happy?"

It started in the trucking industry way before it hit regular vehicles. Especially got rolling downhill when ELDs became mandated

That's why this is happening and a base truck being $60k.

They spent billions on trucks no one was ever going to want, and now they want you to pay for it.
