How is this warming spike different than the last 4 over the last half million years (which were warmer btw) When they answer “man is causing it” simply ask so what caused the other 4?

quote:

“The familiar maxim that the climate is always changing is certainly true,” noted geographer Scott St. George of the University of Minnesota in a commentary on the new research, also published in Nature. “But even when we push our perspective back to the earliest days of the Roman Empire, we cannot discern any event that is remotely equivalent—either in degree or extent—to the warming over the past few decades.”

This climate change bugabaloo is as much a religion to some of you as any other.

Without looking it up can you fully explain the science behind your belief, or are you just trusting opinions from people you don’t know?

The disaster happened in 2000 obviously

In 1989 the UN said we were about to be wiped out

Nah, nothing to worry about. We’ll all be dead. Our kids and grandkids however are fricked.

Can you explain in detail the science behind what you believe without first googling?

Posting incorrect predictions in retrospect doesn't do much for me.

Seems more like a strawman than anything.

I mean it's cyclical obviously. Anyone who says they know for sure that humans are causing this warming trend have an agenda.

There is a global scientific consensus that humans are part of the problem.

I feel like a lot of climate change deniers are so paranoid that there's an agenda at play that they aren't even stopping to think what the agenda is and why scientists on the other side of the world have a vested interest in tricking Republicans in Louisiana and Mississippi.

How much of it is caused by man is hard to answer. However, a warmer earth is not a good thing, and everyone should hope and help when they can to slow this down.

Slow down how? You think we should put giant mirrors in space to reflect away some sun light. When the earth was warmer (much warmer than now) we had enormous vegetation growth and an explosion of species. When the earth got cooler we had mass extinctions. Seems some of you failed history and science going back to 5th Grade.

No one denies that the climate doesnt change. People that think there isnt an agenda behind all of it are the worst of the worst.

Don't get me wrong - there are certainly fear mongering politicians everywhere.

But assuming that the majority of the WORLD's scientific community is all-in on some big scheme to trick us is ridiculous.

If Climate change is as bad some politicians believe it will be (I.e RCP 8.5) then there is no point in living and we all might as well just kill ourselves.

Yes, there is a scientific consensus on climate change. No, most scientists do not think a doomsday scenario like RCP 8.5 is possible and think we can somewhat mitigate the effects that climate change will bring.

The majority are not all in on the topic at all

https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/politics/increased-co2-levels-produced-no-negative-effects-on-gw-signed-by-31847-scientists/82586613/

Ill ask this. Are you qualified to support or discredit the climate change topic at hand?

Im not. Im friends with 1 guy that is and he is the smartest person I know. He thinks it is entirely overblown and a money grab and power grab

am not informed but I do have degrees in sciences. I am not going to spend a second of my time worrying about my life, my children's lives or my grandchildren lives relative to climate change. Don't pollute the shite out of the planet and work to find sources of energy for the next thousand years and continue to improve crop yield through scientific research. But don't worry about this shite.

This happens naturally in a free market society. The global warming cult wants to force the adoption of socialism and communism. That's what this is all about.

There's a reason why the US is the cleanest and most productive. People that innovate and produce efficient systems benefit from that innovation and make the world better. The "ha ha ha let's dump toxic waste in the lake to kill everything" CEOs in shite like Captain Planet don't exist.

Brainwashing that poor girl and trotting her around in front of cameras to emote to the world is despicable and is only done to get people to willingly give up their rights, freedom, and ultimately their sovereignty.

Global Warming is science like Islam is a religion. Muhammad made a theocracy in order to conquer the world. Same goes for the IPCC/UN.

Personally, I would trust NASA and a list of worldwide accredited scientific organizations before I trusted a 20-year-old petition from "petition dot org"
