Both of your links suck.

The first has a graph showing 120 years like thats proof for some global wide money and power grab

The second sucks even more because there isnt to a degree that people are changing it

I honestly don't even know what you're trying to say here, but I can tell you made up your mind about this long before entering into a "discussion" with me.

Carry on.

Not true at all. I wouldn't be wasting my time on here if I thought I knew everything. I don't really get into the virtual dick measuring that some around here do.

That's fair. It really isn't about what I know, though. It's about what I read, from both sides, and how I derive my opinion from that.

Truth be told, the only "random guys" are the ones who signed that petition that you put so much faith in.

I have no faith in that garbage link. Just like yours.

Im smart enough to know that I am not making an educated decision on the subject when the first graph is from 1880 to present and the second link has a title that even the moderately educated person that has taken a science class would laugh at.

I kind of assumed you would read and explore the other links on the page a little more, but I guess you can only lead a horse to water.

You seem pretty hostile, and I'm not sure why.

There is a global scientific consensus that humans are part of the problem.

A minuscule to the point of microscopic part... if that.

I feel like a lot of climate change deniers are so paranoid that there's an agenda at play that they aren't even stopping to think what the agenda is and why scientists on the other side of the world have a vested interest in tricking Republicans in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Best to win a war without firing g a shot. Have stupid dupes willfully submit.

Hitler was a global warmer and used doomsday predictions to influence people. I'm sure you'd have been one of the Chamberlain types who didn't think he could be a threat.

Your views are so superficial that you can't see the complexity of the environment or how it works. All you see is "light waves in, radiated waves trapped by CO2, earth get hot and die."

I directly deal with organisms that produce more CO2 and methane than humans could never produce without an intentional effort to do so... and they're not cows. Trees and vegetation consume carbon dioxide. The ecosystem you claim to respect is far more complex and far more resilient than you would ever care to imagine. Layer after layer of balancing forces. Layer after layer of forces that humans have absolutely no control over... and that doesn't even get into the influence of space and that giant ball of hydrogen bomb in the middle of our solar system.

We won’t solve climate change and the destruction of the environment until we solve this

Yes climate change caused by humans is a real thing that we would be foolish to ignore (but hey look at us ) but the solutions proposed are only bandaids. Cut the world population in half.

Largely to produce goods for North America and Europe? Are we forgetting that they have A BILLION of their own people to provide for? I'm not looking at a census chart, but I'd imagine that North America and Europe have maybe a billion combined. And no one in those countries are exclusively using Chinese products.

Additionally, in the World Health Organization's list of the 500 most polluted cities, China had 284 of 500. 284 from one country! That's incredible (obviously India had several and, interestingly, at least to me, as well as Iran.) The US had zero; only a handful of western European countries with cities on the list.

But let's attack those who are trying and ignore those who do nothing; that's definitely how change comes about.

Population is always a problem. This is why we have a climate crisis and it’s completely unsustainable. People say it’ll level off eventually and the new tech has a way of pushing that bar further and further out, but only to sustain human growth - we still are devouring resources. Every new baby born is another person to feed, shelter, suck resources from the Earth and pollute in their wake. We are a cancer upon the Earth and every other species other than human is threatened by us. That’s not something technology can solve.
