Nope. There are 200+ dead bodies there already. Don't need another one.

Hang gliding was actually way more intense.
More intense than climbing Everest?
Are you speaking from experience doing both?

Was very nice knowing you *extends hand*

Absolutely no interest, at any age.

No, even with the best outfitters, and being in peak physical condition, the weather is too unpredictable, it suddenly changes you die.
Few years ago they had an earthquake... Which caused a glacier to fall.... Which compressed an air pocket that blew a lot of tents off the side of the mountain,

Gotcha
At first glance I thought you were asserting that hang gliding was more intense than summiting Everest.

A lot of sad, empty people attempt that climb and come down sad, empty people . Again, not talking about the real pros , I’m talking about Adventure Tourists.
Bingo. Then they're off to the next big thing
Friend recently went to base camp and said he returned a bit disillusioned and has crossed it off the list.

Climbers have turned it into a dump.
They've littered it with their dead bodies.

Disillusioned that it wasn't what it was cracked up to be?

He's an adventurer. I think most people he encountered were just looking to check another box off a list. They pay people to do most of the work

I say I would, but really the risks are just too high. I don't think there has been a single year without a death on Everest since 1977. I think I read that somewhere.

I once sat at a coffee shop in Colorado and listened to Kraukauer riffing on the “ quality “ of people who attempt Everest . It’s like a well - known thing, it’s a bunch of big- hat, no cattle egoists and some real legit bad asses leading the way. And regardless, how many of these guys who think Everest is within their reach would shite in their pants on Long’s Peak or one of the “ easy “ 14ers ? Oh yeah, all these flatlanders are ready to do Everest and Danali next week . No problem. Just stop people.

Aconcagua is literally just a strenuous hike. But the weather can still kill you.
I was at 13000 feet in Wyoming with a hardcore climbing guide when he proceeded to fire up a cigarette. Said it took the edge off.
