re: Given the option would you climb Mt Everest?

I became slightly obsessed with reading Everest stories after reading “Into Thin Air” by Jon Krakauer years ago. Two well respected and experienced climbing guides died on his trip. One spoke on a satellite phone with his pregnant wife while he waited for death to come. The time, money and risk involved is just not worth it.

The way I see it, the good lord made the air too thin up there for people to breathe for a reason.
