We adopted a family here at work for Christmas. They have two boys, 7 & 8. The 7 yo is in a wheelchair.

I want to buy the boys a couple presents. Everyone up here says not to get him a normal toy for a 7 yo.

I am thinking of getting the a couple action figures or Hot Wheels and stuff.

Any help on this?

depends really on what you want to spend. I can tell you that what kids want the most these days are video games...

How well can he use his hands? There are a lot of good toys that don't require him to use his legs.

We have never met them but we've seen a picture of him, it looks pretty severe

Maybe some cool headphones?

I think they sometimes have strain on their eyes, and listen to audio whether its audiobooks, or something like dragon that reads to them..

but then I saw you said he's 7.. so Idk.. and idk how much you are willing to spend.

I don't know how this adopt a family program works or what kind of families these are. Is there any way to get into contact with parents or guardians of the boys? A more thoughtful gift would be possible if you are able to get an idea of what their interests are.

MD or MS?

Pediatric MS is extremely rare and they wouldn't be wheelchair bound.

If MD, normal toys (except for a bike) are fine.

Minecraft is still a hit with that age. My 6 year old is nuts over Minecraft Lego's.
