Getting serious on 30A: Seaside is "closed"

Seaside is closed until April 30, 2020
Restaurants are open for takeout only. Beach accesses are closed as of 5pm today.
It was absolutely packed on the beach today. We'll see if there's a mass exodus out of town when the TDC forces the other beach communities along 30A to follow suit.
So far there are no cases in South Walton - hope it stays this way, but local businesses are going to be hurting for sure.

They cant close private beaches. Beachfront properties own the sand up to the average high tide line

idk the OP states Seaside is closed.
Sounds like the only thing closed is restaurants and bars. You rent a condo on the beach you can still go to beach and pick up food/eat at condo

I think they had a law last year that all beaches were public.

I'm almost certain one of the first five cases in Florida was in Santa Rosa,

Not exactly.
The seaside/watercolor community owns the beach access in seaside. They closed the access to those beaches. The rest of 30A is still open, including those beach access points.

The death was in Santa Rosa county. Seaside is in Walton county. Santa Rosa county has nothing to do with 30-A

You are correct, it was the second death reported in Florida.
