Sometimes the nachos stick together and the rules dictate that it counts as 1 nacho. Those days, I know it's all gonna be okay and I should keep on keeping on.

I'm 45. Retired. I love it.

I do what I want all day. Smoke some weed, do some projects, play with my RMAX4 1000 or do nothing.

Hunt and fish and camping when I want.

I'm a dreamer. I have to dream and reach for the stars, and if I miss a star then I grab a handful of clouds.

You find new dreams baw. Sometimes you realize the dreams you had as a kid aren't exactly all they're cracked up to be or rational. With age comes a better understanding of what's what.

How do you mid 30s-40s baws deal with it?
there is an added pressure now to keep in shape and still look like I did at 24

No more drinking, bed now very early during travels.

But it works out, I used to want to be surrounded by fun. But nowadays, I just want some peace and quiet.

dreams evolve.

Make yourself happy. Develop a new goal and work towards it. Maybe you just need to be more realistic.

What is your dream / goal - make sure it is reasonable.

I started trying to write, its a bit of a hobby but finishing it up and getting published is a goal.

Should be able to sell the story to HBO for a billion dollars in like 5 years I would imagine.

This thread reminds me of how crazy 7 year old me thought my parents were for not wanting to be famous

I could not wrap my head around how they weren't killing themselves to get famous and/or not being sad that they weren't

Of course, now as an adult I get it, but it always makes me laugh looking back

Dreams? Or hobbies that just didn’t come to fruition?

I always wanted to make music, or write stories, or what have you

And I have. Hundreds and hundreds.

But, they just sit there. And one day I hope that I’ll meet that right illustrator, or musician, or whoever that wants to give flesh and life to the bones of creative projects and collaborate.

But I don’t get lost and upset about the lack of it happening like I once did. Because I’m writing for me.

I’m writing for my kids. I’m writing for people that inspire me. And once I’ve written it all I can do is share it. Or put it in a box.
