You don't need a dog.

Doesn't matter. As an owner, it is your responsibility to know where your dog is at all times and to ensure a safe and secure environment. Leaving your dog outside all day, you will be unable to do this.

Different breeds have different coats. A Yorkie doesn't shed.

Your dog will shed and stink. All dogs do, but especially outside dogs.

Get a fish. You don’t seem ready for a dog.

Here at the OT our dogs must have better living conditions than us, the human owners.

When you one day gain a soul get back to us

JK man get you a hardy rescue, as long as your yard is big enough and somewhat escape proof you and your new pooch will be much happier than before

A dog you leave outside all day, that doesn't shed.. What else? You don't want it to bark, shite and drink water either?

Just fricking with you.

When you say leave outside all day, will you at least have a dog house or shade for the dog? What about days when there is expected bad weather?

If the dog is trained why not just let it stay inside when you are gone? I have two dogs and I think they just lay around and sleep the whole time no one is home. They don't eat, they are house trained and never use it inside. They don't frick anything up. Now, when I am home they will get into shite they are not suppose to and one of them likes to be outside throughout the day, if someone is home and it is nice outside.

Fish, apparently, require a lot of care. Changing water, cleaning tank, adding chemicals, etc.

His fish will die. But it's just a fish.

Bull honky. if the backyard has shade, food, water, a porch/patio doghouse, there is nothing wrong with leaving your dog in the fenced backyard.

I suppose you think it's okay to kennel the dog up in a cage in the house all day though?

That's the most pussy thing I've read on the OT in a long time. Congrats, intended or not.

If you have a dog that is trained, housebroken and gets daily exercise, there should not be a need to kennel a dog, unless it is your preference to do so.

Buy a huskie and put it in a backyard in Georgia with no shade.

Labs are the tastiest. But wait until they are about 18 months before grilling. A damn fine meal.

1. No one should just get 'a dog'. Dogs are social creatures. You need a male and a female dog - but not for breeding. It's just that with most dogs, a m & f pair seem to work best. Get them both fixed of course.

2. Point #1 is especially true if you plan to leave the dog alone all the time, which you apparently do. Why make the animal sit around alone all the time? Do you want someone to abandon you for half the day, every day? Of course not.

3. Dogs shed, some more than others. So do people. Not sure why you seem especially bothered by a dog. Seems likely this will make you frustrated with the dog and not bring the dog inside and end up neglecting it.

4. You don't really want a dog and I feel confident that dogs would be better off without you.

5. Take your current enthusiasm for dogs and just make a $100 donation to the local shelter and call it a day.

So if you have a nice backyard and a large energetic pup is it mean to let her roam outside while you're at work?

No, because you're only thinking about you.

A dog is a member of the family.
