Stocks to watch during this change:

Chevron - CVX
Exxon Mobil - XOM
Ford - F
Amazon - AMZN

Oil companies will be making money and hiring...Ford will be selling new 250 Diesels...Amazon will be shipping Truck Nutz 24/7.

One of the companies featured in the big short. I'm sure they known what they're talking about.

Just earlier this year, they were predicting oil to go to $20/bbl. wouldn't believe anything they say

As someone in the industry it would be nice but it's not happening. It's going to be a couple more years at least.

Are you not a very recent grad with less than 6 months "in the industry"?

I am a not so recent grad with 20 years in the industry both domestic and international. While activity levels may creep up slightly day rates and employee compensation packages will not reverse course until 2018. So the industry will continue to suffer.

Comment was not directed at you, I actually agree wholeheartedly with your assessment. While upticks will occur they will be short lived and based on speculation not fundamentals. How is Africa treating you these days?

We are still plenty busy here.

Yeah, Goldman Sachs has been at the extremes of every forecast they've made. Either the end of the world or its about to come back with a vengeance. Only good thing from this is it looks like we can maybe breathe a little easier that it's not going to be dropping way below where it's at any time soon. But that's never a guarantee. It seems like we are in "recivery" though.

I have a feeling they may understand how financial markets work. They just go out on a limb in an attempt to make money. It's not like they are necessarily truth-sayers with magic visions of the future. They're just trying to make a buck and take it for what it's worth.
