I stay around 1,000 calories by my doctor’s recommendation. My organs took a lot of damage when I was in CHF. I went months with a heart that got down to 10% effectiveness before I got my artificial valve. That did a lot of damage to pretty much all my organs. If I ate what most people would call a healthy amount of food, I’d start gaining weight. I even have to limit my water intake somewhat to keep from retaining fluid.
good luck bro

What about sleep apnea that reasonably healthy people are diagnosed with?

reasonably healthy as in they are well above 20% body fat. There are exceptions but sleep apnea happens either in those that are fat or have a huge musclular neck. usually the musclular neck is a result of juicing....not always but it usually is. shorter guys and shorter neck guys can build the neck muscles to be too big but its rare
and for the record you are sayd reasonably healthy people....well its estimated close to 85%(up to even 90%) of those with sleep apnea are overweight.
so draw your own conclusions.

Thanks. This Nov. will be six years of living what my wife dubbed our “new normal”. It’s taken some getting use to. But I can do most of what I’ve always done and still enjoy a mostly normal life. I just have to take precautions and make adjustments, especially on my diet. Thankfully I love seafood because it consists of the majority of my diet.

Bruh, if modern Americans weighed what those guys in the 2nd pic weigh, they would clearly look like people in the death camps.
As a matter of fact, it is very hard to tell a difference between the pics.

When I got to basic training in 1988 there was a range of sizes. Some guys showed up on the skinny side (I was one of them) other guys showed up pretty heavy. After 13 weeks those If use who showed up on the skinny side had gained weight. Those who showed up on the heavy side had dropped weight.

Are you my cardiologist or ENT?? You pretty just said everything exactly what they have told me. Except for the juicing. I haven’t juiced in over 25 years.
