I didn’t say it was sexually driven.

Savannah has the highest percentage of lawyers in the US so I'm not surprised. Positive she'lll file a civil suit as well.

Sexual battery, no.

Sexual battery is defined as an unwanted form of contact with an intimate part of the body that is made for purposes of sexual arousal, sexual gratification or sexual abuse. Sexual battery may occur whether the victim is clothed or not.

Would you want to see some random stranger coming up behind your daughter and smacking her on the arse for the hell of it? I don't think you would, and I assume you'd want to see him punished for it.

Was a harmless, albeit stupid, gesture, probably not a sporting event where that doesn’t happen, dumbass thing to do but not a criminal act, screw this snowflake society if this is prosecuted

Would you be okay with someone slapping your wife or daughter’s arse? No big deal, right?

It's happened. I punched him a few times until he was on the ground. No one pressed charges.

Why do so many of you idiots think this is going to "ruin his life"?

Worst case he'll have to pay a fine, take some classes, maybe probation. 10 years ago I had basically the same punishment for possession of marijuana, my life wasn't ruined.

The public shaming is his own fault, if his own dumbass didn't do it live on the 5oclock news nobody would've ever known. Serves him right, and nobody will remember this guys name in a week anyway

The crime

The punishment

Not sure why everyone is so outraged.

Under that definition punching that drama queen bitch in the mouth would be sexual battery.

Sexual battery is a misdemeanor. First offense is a fine, some classes, and that's about it. If it happens again...he'll likely see some jail time.

My wife and daughters would be pissed but would have moved on with their lives and not acted like this attention whore. This is all so over blown.
Guy was an idiot and wrong. Not defending his action at all. But her reaction is very disingenuous IMO.

If she can prove it was done for sexual gratification, sexual arousal, or sexual abuse? Yeah. It can be sexual battery. But more than likely she'll ask for the more serious charge called assault.

Yet, we all know this wasn't sexual assault. And, any reasonable person knows that destroying someone's life when they jokingly slap a woman on the arse isn't reasonable.

You’re completely wrong. It is absolutely sexual assault, and the guy hit her pretty hard. If he had hit her that hard on the back of the head, is that an assault everyone would take seriously?

I don’t feel sorry for his life being turned upside down. What an idiot. He impulsively helped himself her arse on live TV, then uses the old “that was unintentional because I thought it was a joke” defense. Frick that guy.

You were charged with sexual battery for position of Marijuana? Did you have to register as a sex offender?

Nope. Don’t want them to be submissive at all. I respect women, and think this guy was absolutely wrong and an idiot. You can try to paint me any way you want, I am simply giving my opinion of her reaction to this event. If you don’t believe the way I do, that’s ok. It’s simply my opinion. You seem to really want to be outraged over something that in the big picture of life is being blown out of proportion.
