Take it easy and slow down. Disney World will still be there when you get there.

Was it GSP? Local sheriff? Where were you? Is it worth the lawyer fees? Honestly I don't recall my insurance going up at all.
Turner county, Ashburn City. Local sheriff. It's worth the fees to me to not have that on my driving record and insurance when I don't believe it is accurate.

Here's what's going to happen. You're going to say contest the accuracy, the officer is going to show proof of calibration, and boom you're donzo

I was traveling to Florida. I wasn't going 86, my cruise control was set at 80, I was all the way over in the far left lane, the patrol car was at a halt with the nose out from the far right, there were about 3 cars between us as it was a 3 lane highway, it was rainy, cloudy, humid, he says his laser clocked me. I'm a TN resident. To my surprise
Also, the cop didn't ask for my registration or car insurance
That's a whole bunch of irrelevance for one post.

how'd you know?
Just a guess. Everyone heading down 75 is going to Disney World.

Driving record shouldn't matter at all. You'll only get like 3 pts and unless you're a maniac driver 3 pts shouldn't do anything. If anything you may be able to get like 3, 4 mph reduced so it won't be a super speeder which is 85 on the highway, especially if you have a fairly clean record. Sucks it was a local sheriff though, GSP would have been a lot easier.

I won't do anything but let my lawyer represent me, my inquiry here is a good traffic lawyer.

Sorry, it was a Georgia state trooper. Also, can I take a driver course in my resident state to get the points removed?

Go to court and hope the cop doesn't show.
I haven't had a speeding conviction in years because I go to court and the cop doesn't.

If there are enough stupid arse people like you, I'm quitting my job and becoming a traffic court lawyer.

also this is stupid. i have a couple state trooper buddies whose motto is '9 you're fine, 10 you're mine'.
put it on 78 next time and fire up waze before you start your trip.

I don't know any down there, sorry. I could give you a couple if it was closer to atlanta or north atlanta but the charge for them to go down there wouldn't be worth it.

Like anyone here really believes you are employed.
Hope I made your day with a reply you are so desperately looking for.

GSP should be earlier to get it dropped a little then, at least to where you're not at the super speeder. I'd look up local lawyers and ask what they think. Idk much other than that and what I've dealt with.
Posted on 6/23/15 at 4:36 pm to CAD703X
Meh, I don't really care for a patrol car detector, this is my first ticket and as you advised I'll just set cruise control on 78 from now on to piss off people like breesus for speeding.

Well you made the situation a little better by letting me know it didn't really effect your record. Thanks.
