At what point do you stop blaming others for your shitty situation. Get a job, show up on time and dressed correctly, be pleasant to your boss and coworkers. Do you job well and you will advance.
Pay your bills, live beneath what your finances will allow. Save your money. Be a parent not a sperm donor. Make your children behave and also make them do their homework.
Give back to your communities, do things to help your friends and neighbors.
That is how you get ahead and build up your community.

This is somewhat interesting because they're not asking this from governments or descendants of slave owners. This is from an organization that existed then and still exists today. I didn't see anything mentioned about a civil suit and even if there were it was legal back then so they wouldn't win.
Obviously the university isn't going to give them a billion dollars but the discussion itself is interesting imo.

Didn't they already decide that any descendants of the affected slaves can go to GU for free?
A free private a university education is a great opportunity.
