Birmingham could be in a lot of trouble if their surface winds stay out of the SE (backed) as the Tuscaloosa cell is moving right up I-20.

Just hoping these aren't long track storms because otherwise they better buckle up.

looking at the weather.com outlook for hattiesburg, anyone living here... if we get anything, it will be around 1:30 am - 3:30 am

Good luck to everyone out there tonight in this thing's path and my prayers/thoughts go out to those who've gone thru it already.

Hope your parents stay safe in Gardendale... Looks like they got one heading there way.

Thanks, its bearing on them right now, they are between Gardendale and Mount Olive on the map.

They had no TV and just lost phone.

I'm at my apt, my gf is at her house (both in Shreveport), and her dad is hunkered down at a hotel in Tuscaloosa, about a mile from one of the three reported touchdowns...we're all in weird text circle trying to update each other. He's ok for now but can certainly hear the winds.

All I can say is thanks to this thread for turning me on to the radarscope app. It's helping a ton. And all my well wishes to those already impacted and those yet to be. It's been a crazy afternoon/evening.

That whole area exploded once the surface winds rally backed and there is no junk convection to the SE of the Tuscaloosa cell, it could really go off again...

Man south Tuscaloosa/Brookwood/Coaling always gets the worst of it, hoping it isnt near as bad as it looks on radar.
