He started or co-started the Vice Network and is the father of the Proud Boys and hipster movement. Conservative social observer and commentator. Deplatformed all the way around. That's probably why some folks haven't heard of him. How he got back on Youtube, I don't know.

I did an interview with him a few years back...if he still has the same phone #, I have it!

For those who don't know: Gavin McInnis was one of the founders of Vice Media (before they sold out and started doing those kinds of articles. I miss classic Vice documentaries. Those were good solid actual journalism) and then when he left Vice he became the founder of The Proud Boys movement. He runs whatever nu-right media company now.

They were just counterculture and edgy. Back then that would imply liberal biased, sure, but it wasn't really a political activist rag until the progressives took over and then it radically changed. When people like Tim Pool worked for Vice they did actual journalism but from counterculture perspectives. It was at least interesting and intriguing stuff. Not just more mental gymnastics about oppressed groups and TDS.
