Are you going to keep posting about going to Jazz Fest for the next hour and half until the gates close but never actually go?

has their ever been a year where it didnt rain? you would think they would move it to another part of the year where its not always threatened by weather
that just comes with the territory.

You want them to move every event in March and April?

I haven't been to jazz fest when it rains (or rained the day before) in a long time. Supposed to go next weekend and it looks like its going to pour. Do I need to wear like fricking boots? Will boots even help? How bad is it?

Have you ever seen the festival and events calendar for Nola during the spring and fall?
Even the folks at Hogs for the Cause know that moving weekends would be a bad idea since they have a good weekend established.

After the rain today and it's supposed to rain Wednesday and Thursday, the Fairgrounds will be a mess. Boots will be useless. Just wear an old pair of tennis shoes. The shite mud out there is absolutely disgusting.

They had people in white Shrimp boots out there already today.

It will be much as hell.

Whatever you do, don't wear thong type flip flops. You will lose them in the mud

Wear some old beater tennis shoes you don't mind pretty much trashing. Or some sandals with back straps on them that you can spray off.

It will be muddy as hell and already churned up

Exactly

The fact that EVERYONE knows by heart that every year JF is last wkend of April and first of May and all the other festivals and whatever else falls in line on every other weekend, there is no way they could change it

And when would they even change it to? It's festival season.
The holiday season kicks off with Voodoo Fest, but that festival is an outlier

It wasn't that messy today, I wore shrimp boots that killed my heels, but probably could have gotten away with old tennis. Drainage seemed to be a lot better than years past. Was really nice out there, short beer/food lines, and light crowd around the main stage for a big act. Really the perfect day.

It was not bad at all today. We walked in at 4:00 and I saw no standing water. Was expecting much worse.
Not even that muddy either

Will some Lacrosse knee boots keep me dry? I really don't want to have my fricking feet wet for hours. I think the rain will end by Thursday afternoon, but it's still going to be disgusting.

I have some muck boot shoes but they don't really go passed my ankles and think they will be useless. It's looking like Lacrosse knee boots are my only option if I want to stay somewhat dry.

This is all good news. Looks like its not supposed to rain until Thursday 80% (20% Wednesday). Hopefully it doesn't rain too bad Thursday morning and won't have to wear knee boots...

I'll be honest and I haven't even been about through music this weekend.

More about kicking it with fiends just hanging out vibing, people watching, and eating a superb array of small plates that you will never find in the same spot ever.

Nas teamed up wit da Soul Rebels #doe ??? Usher?

Congo square has been lit af so far.
